First day with fast (no braggin, just tellin)
Yesterday was my first fast day, though i encounter some small problems, actually it is only one problem. On the fast day you are suppose to eat 500 kcal or for ladies 400 kcal. And i have no idea if i stick to that or not.
Lunch at Mothers place
I was eating lunch at my Mothers place yesterday and to calculate what a chicken breast file, 3 potatoes and some sauce adds up in calories, well i didn't have a clue.
Google is my friend
So the first thing i did when i came home was to do a search on Google for calorie charts, and find some good, and some not so good, though i found one (in swedish) that cover most of it, but it was outlaid so it was for 100 g portions.
How heavy was the lunch?
The lunch that i ate was about 550-650 kcal, tho i have no idea for sure, as i really need a scale to know the exact grams of the food. But i don't have one, and my Mother would think i'm going crazy if i started to weight up her food.
Weight up and doing some adjustments
I'm going to try to weight up some food as for how much it weight, and do some adjustments to the calorie chart. As an example a orange weights about 200 g, but the fruit meat weights about 100 g, and this is easy then to calculate that peeled orange has 54 kcal, according to the chart. One can of CocaCola 33cl is 139 kcal. And so on.
Eat day!
And to day is eat day, so late breakfast was 2 eggs (81 kcal) + 70g bacon (280 kcal) and 50g cottage cheese (49 kcal) cheese = 410 kcal. Only this meal alone was almost the same as for a fast day.
Why i do this?
I'm doing this for my self and nobody else, as i have gained to much weight over the passed years, and i just want to keep some kind of record on what i'm doing, so this seems to be a good place, maybe someone else can be inspired or find some of it useful.
